YOGA FOR BEGINNERS
The beauty of yoga is that you don’t have to be a yogi (male) or yogini (female) to reap the benefits. No matter what your age, ailments and fitness levels, Yoga with regular practice has the remarkable influence to calm the mind, strengthen the body and works on you overall ” well-being” Remember “everybody has been a beginner”.

Mindfulness. It’s a pretty straightforward word. It suggests that the mind is fully attending to what’s happening, to what you’re doing, to the space you’re moving through. That might seem trivial, except for the annoying fact that we so often veer from the matter at hand. Our mind takes flight, we lose touch with our body, and pretty soon we’re engrossed in obsessive thoughts about something that just happened or fretting about the future. And that makes us anxious.”Mindfulness is the basic human ability to be fully present, aware of where we are and what we’re doing, and not overly reactive or overwhelmed by what’s going on around us”.

Meditation is a practice where an individual uses a technique – such as mindfulness, or focusing the mind on a particular object, thought, or activity – to train attention and awareness, and achieve a mentally clear and emotionally calm and stable state

Relaxation is about resting your mind and body. It is an important part of taking care of yourself. It is a useful method for managing anxiety, stress and the fight/flight response.
PRIVATE YOGA
Yoga classes have grown in popularity over the years, however for some individuals you may find that private lessons are more appealing. Private lessons are a one on one experience which is tailored around your needs and requirements. An in-depth consultation in the first instance will then produce a wonderful empowering course of action for you. Private lessons can bring about improvements to your mental and physical health and help you achieve personal yoga goals.
pre & post natal yoga
Yoga can be a great tool to support the physical, mental and emotional changes during pregnancy and the postpartum period. Yoga encourages a deep connection to the breath, physical and emotional strength, and flexibility.
yummy mummy & babies Yoga
Mummy and baby programs focus on both of you. I modify traditional yoga poses so that moms can practice yoga while holding, engaging and rocking their babies. After nine long months, you’re delighted to have a sweet baby to cuddle and love. But a new baby means a new schedule, and you may find yourself with less time to focus on your health. It’s important to find an exercise regimen that is gentle enough for your body but is also challenging and exciting.
workplace yoga
Yoga keeps your employees fit, healthy & flexible in body and mind. After a few classes, your team will notice reduced feelings of stress and fatigue, higher productivity, concentration & happiness at work, and improved posture and physical wellness.

About Ellen Kay

For me, Yoga isn’t just poses and flexibility, it’s a beautiful way for me to connect with others and help them bring calm, health and laughter into their everyday lives. 

Yoga is beneficial for everyone and I’m passionate about making sure it’s accessible and enjoyable to as many people as possible regardless of age, experience and ability. 

I am a British Wheel of Yoga certified teacher with over 12 years teaching experience of Yoga, Meditation, Pranayama (breathing exercises) and the overall application of Yoga to improve wellbeing of my students.

Additionally I am a qualified Yin Yoga Teacher, Mindfulness teacher, Thai Yoga massage therapist and a Pregnancy teacher for pre and postnatal ladies. I also teach mums & babies and teach in schools for children aged of 4-16.  I am also a Reiki master and believe in an holistic approach in all of my teachings.

I offer my experience and guidance to those in need of emotional support, in need of physical rehabilitation and special needs.

Love, laughter and inclusion of all is paramount to my teachings.
